First, you need to understand that these are 2 separate search engines, that work on different ideas.
To rank on Google, we recommend to target a long tail keyword. For example, if your niche is "Plumber", do not try to upload a video with the title "Plumber". You will need to target keywords like "emergency plumber new york". This will get you more targeted leads and will make it easier to rank on the first page of Google.
The same idea applies for any niche. Ranking for "iphone case" will be very hard because it's a broad keyword. But ranking for "iphone X durable rubber case" will get you the rankings that you want.
If you go on Google and search for your keyword, if you already see videos ranking that there are 2 options:
a) You will instantly rank and overpass them
b) You won't be able to rank, because they are already ranking.
This all depends on the niche and on what Google decides to do.
If you go on Google and search for your keyword, and if there are no other videos ranking, than there are 2 options:
a) You will rank instantly and your video will be the only one showing
b) Google DOES NOT show videos for that keyword/niche, so you won't be able to rank
About YouTube, ranking on the first page of YouTube is usually easier than ranking on Google. A few other factors are important besides the SEO Title/Description/Tags:
1) Video Length (try to have a video length between 3 and 8 minutes)
2) Channel strength (subscribers, age, authority)
3) Video views and watch time
4) Retention rate (how much a user spends on your video)
5) Number of comments and likes
